Prayer: This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing respondents to produce petitioner daughter Karthikeyini, D/o.Shanmugavel aged about 30 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J) The petitioner is the mother of the detenu, namely, Karthikeyini, aged 30 years. It is averred in the petition that her daughter completed her MBA and she went missing from 09.10.2017. Since her whereabouts were not known, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the 2nd respondent police. However, since no effectives steps were taken to secure the detenu, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed a status report stating

that the detenu sent a registered post to the District Collectors, Thanjavur District, Cuddalore District, the Superintendents of Police, Thanjavur, Cuddalore District, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District, Inspectors of Police, Peravoorani Police Station and Vadalur Police Station, in which, she has stated that she fell in love with one Ramarajan in the year 2014 and since it was not to the liking of her parents, she left her parental home and got married with the said Ramarajan on 10.10.2017 and their marriage was also registered in the Cuddalore Sub Registrar Office. She has further stated that she is not in the illegal custody of any one.

3.In view of the status report and in view of the fact that the detenu is not in the illegal custody of anyone, nothing survives for adjudication in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, this petition is closed.
