Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2018 in respect of granting permission and necessary protection to conduct cultural programme "Adal Padal" to celebrate the festival of Arulmighu Sri Santhana Mariamman Temple situated at Thondi, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2018 in respect of granting permission and necessary protection to conduct cultural programme "Adal Padal" to celebrate the festival of Arulmighu Sri Santhana Mariamman Temple situated at Thondi, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the

petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking permission and necessary protection to conduct cultural programme "Adal Padal" on 19.06.2018. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner has been considered and it was rejected, since there is a likelihood of law and order problem. The order of rejection dated 17.06.2018 has also been produced before this Court. 5.The learned counsel for the petitioner has also not disputed the above said fact.

6.In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
