ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to conduct election for Achankulam Kanmai (Tank) Water Users Association, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.R.Udhayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.On instructions, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the election which has been scheduled to take place on 24.04.2022, has now been postponed and no date has been announced. He would submit that the date will be announced after preparing the voters list. The said statement is recorded.

W.P.(MD)No.8608 of 2022 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's representation will have to be considered. 5.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.04.2022, seeking for conduct of election for Achankulam Kanmai (Tank) Water Users Association, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District and pass final orders, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
