PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.77 of 2024 on the file of the Respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The respondent police registered a case as against the petitioner in Crime No.77 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 406, 420, 294(b) and 506(i) IPC and remanded him into judicial custody on 07.03.2024. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 21.09.2023 at about 10.00 a.m., the 1/3

petitioner received a sum of Rs.13 lakh from the defacto complainant for getting him job in abroad and thereafter, cheated him. When the defacto complainant demanded to re-pay the said amount, the petitioner abused him in filthy language and also intimidated him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. However, he is languishing in jail from 07.03.2024. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submits that the investigation agency has collected materials that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.5 lakh through his bank account.

5. Considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
