Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to issue death certificate of the petitioner's grandmother namely Saran Beevi, W/o.Mohammed Anipa to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Suresh Kumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Lingadurai, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to issue death certificate for the petitioner's grandmother, Saran Beevi, W/o.Mohammed Anipa, to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner has filed documents along with the Writ Petition based on which the petitioner claims that he is entitled to get a death certificate for his grandmother, who died on 12.11.2016. It is for the respondents to consider the same on merits and in 1/3

accordance with law.

3. Heard Mr.P.Suresh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2022, referred to supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law by the respondents.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2022 seeking for issuance of a death certificate for his grandmother, Saran Beevi, W/o.Mohammed Anipa, who died on 12.11.2016 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting him the right of personal hearing, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
