ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.167 of 2022 and to file the final report, within a time frame. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that when the petitioner was travelling in a Government bus, her gold ornaments, mobile and money, which was kept in her hand bag, was stolen. Therefore, she lodged a complaint before the second respondent Police, based on which, a case in Cr.No.167 of 2022 came to be registered. Further, he submits that the above said case is still pending, without any progress and hence, the petitioner filed the present petition. 3.Considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directed the respondents to file a status report as to the stage of the investigation in Cr.No.167 of 2022. 2/4

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents has also filed a status report and it appears that the investigation of this case is now monitored by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Southgate Range, Madurai City. 5.Since the investigation in Cr.No.167 of 2022 is being monitored by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Southgate Range, Madurai City, this criminal original petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to complete the investigation and file the final report, as expeditiously as possible.
