ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is doing vegetable business in Anna Nagar, 2nd East Main Road,Madurai. In the year 2013, one Blessing Agro Farm Indian Limited, introduced a scheme that, if one time deposit of sum of Rs.1000/- is made, after five years a sum of Rs.84,000/- will be given to the depositors. The petitioner deposited a sum of Rs.1000/-. Subsequently, one Lakshmi who is well known to the petitioner has approached the petitioner and joined the above chit scheme. said Chit fund was also closed. Now the said Lakshmi is harassing the petitioner to pay the deposited amount and she has also lodged a complaint before the second respondent police. Based on the complaint, the second respondent police is harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3.As per direction of this Court, the third respondent appeared in person before this Court today stating that based on the complaint, enquiry has been conducted and he is not harassing the petitioner.
4.Considering the fact that based on the complaint given by one Lakshmi, now only an enquiry has been conducted by the respondents 2 and 3 and they are not harassing the petitioner, no further order is required in this case. However, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
