ORDER

The petition has been filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Sankarankovil, Tirunelveli District to expedite the trial and dispose of the case in STC No.2718 of 2011. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent. 3.It is seen that the occurrence in this case was taken place on 20.03.2011 and final report has been filed in STC No.2718 of 2011 before the Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil and the same is pending till date without any substantial progress, because the case is pending before this Court and pleads that a direction will be issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial in a time bound manner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that there are only seven witnesses have been shown in the list of witnesses. 5.Under such circumstances, trial Court is directed to complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided, the accused cooperated with the trial by cross examining the

witnesses as and when they are examined in chief and not adopting any dilatory tactics by absconding.
