This petition has been filed to to call for the records pertaining to Crime No.590 of 2015, dated 19.10.2015 on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), appearing for the respondent.

On reading of the F.I.R., it is seen that one Sasikala, daughter of the fourth petitioner was in love with one Vallal Rajkumar, son of the defacto complainant and that they belong to two different communities. According to the defacto complainant, Sasikala came on her volition from her parental home and living with the defacto complainant. On 19.10.2015, the petitioners herein forcibly abducted Sasikala and took her back to the house of the petitioners. The police have arrested only Mayakrishnan and his confession statement has been recorded. 17 witnesses have been examined and the investigation is in half way. Relying upon the judgment of the Honourable Supreme Court in State of Haryana and others Vs. Ch.Bhajan Lal and Others reported in 1992 AIR 604, when the F.I.R. discloses the commission of cognizable offence, this Court could not stifle the investigation. Hence, there is no merit in this case. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also dismissed.

4. The respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and file final report before the concerned Court within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
