This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second and third respondents not to deduct 1/3rd compensation amount from the petitioners to part with the Local Bodies.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the matter is pending before the third respondent/District Collector, who will pass appropriate orders within the time frame stipulated by this Court. 2/5

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent/District Collector to consider the case of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
