PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to call for the records in C.C.No.244 of 2025, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, and quash the same by allowing the above Criminal Original Petition.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in C.C.No.244 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, wherein the petitioners are charged with the offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(3) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 4 of the TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2. Pending trial, the parties have entered into a compromise wherein the defacto complainant had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet.

3. Today, the defacto complainant is present in-person and he acknowledges the fact that he had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet.

4. Considering the above said facts, the charge sheet in C.C.No.244 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is hereby quashed.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order. 27.03.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No RJR 2/4
