ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by K.Ayyamperumal, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to consider the recommendation of the third respondent, dated 09.04.2013 for reimbursing the petitioner's medical expenses.
2. Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has undergone heart surgery in Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai. On receipt of the medical bills, the petitioner presented the same before the respondents 1 and 2 for reimbursement and the recommendation has also been made by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
third respondent for early disbursement thereof. Finding no response from the respondents 1 and 2, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction to consider the recommendation of the third respondent, dated 09.04.2013.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and sought for a reasonable time to consider the recommendation made by the third respondent for early disbursement of the medical expenses.
5. This Court finds that there has been a recommendation by the District Collector, Thoothukudi, the third respondent herein, in favour of the petitioner for early disbursement of the medical expenses for a sum of Rs.1,60,735/-, hence, this Court has no hesitation to direct the respondents 1 and 2. Accordingly, the respondents 1 and 2 are hereby directed to disburse the medical expenses of the petitioner as recommended by the District Collector within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(AE) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar.
