The petitioner had filed this petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 12.04.2024 and 13.04.2024 at about 07.00 pm at Sri Maha Mariamman Kovil, Thidal at Muthurajapalayam Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District by providing adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2024. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the organizer of the Kabadi Tournament and he made a representation to the respondents Police seeking permission to conduct the Kabadi Tournamnet and to provide police protection. But the respondents refused to grant permission for conducting the Kabadi Tournament. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the due to Model Code of Conduct, the respondents could not grant permission for 2/4

conducting the Kabadi Tournament.

4.In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to conduct the Kabadi Tournament after 25.04.2024 and the petitioner shall file an application before the ARO concerned and the ARO concerned shall consider the same. No costs. 10.04.2024 Internet:Yes Index :Yes/No jbr To
