..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to enquire into and decide the Petition dated 21.8.2015 given by the Petitioners to the respondent within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 21.08.2015.

2.Heard Mr.S.Natarajan, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3.The Petitioners would state that the first Petitioner's husband A.Karuppasamy was an Ex-service Man and the second petitioner is now serving in the Indian Army. The said Karuppasamy was assigned with two acres of land in S.No.58-5 (PF), Kallikudi Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District by order, dated 3.12.1974 under Armed Service Quota. 4.The second Petitioner would allege that since he was working in the Indian Army, his close friend and relative namely Subbian and Alangaram was asked to get formal order of assignment and also paid the entire amount. But, instead of getting the assignment order in favour of Karuppasamy, they got an order in their favour. Hence the Petitioners have submitted a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation, dated 21.08.2016 to the respondent to cancel the said assignment order. Since no order has been passed on the said representation till date, the Petitioners have come forward with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 5.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the Petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioners, dated 21.8.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the same, after giving notice to the Petitioners and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
