The petitioner challenges the order of the 3rd respondent rejecting the petitioner's application for issuance of patta.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The 3rd respondent has rejected the petitioner's application for patta by proceedings, dated 14.10.2024. It is seen from the impugned order that the only reason that has been cited for rejecting the petitioner's application is the pending enquiry proceedings before the 2nd respondent. It is the case of the petitioner that no notice or opportunity was given to the petitioner before the said order came to be passed.

Considering the fact that the 2nd respondent is already enquiring into the matter, this writ petition is disposed of, setting aside the order of the 3rd respondent rejecting the petitioner's application for patta and directing the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry, after hearing the petitioner as well as other interested parties, if any, and to pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Subject to the result of the proceedings before the 2nd respondent, the application of the petitioner for patta shall be considered by the 3rd respondent and disposed of within a period of four

(4) weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
