3.S.Shankar : Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter Bharathi, aged 27 years, who is under illegal custody of the third respondent and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

*********** [Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Bharathi, aged about 27 years, went missing on 22.11.2016, in connection with which, on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.220 of 2016 has been registered on 24.11.2016 under Section 366 of the Indian Penal Code against one Shankar, Mahalingam and Muthusamy. While so, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the detenu has got married to the said Shankar on 20.11.2016 and the marriage has also been registered in the Office of the Registrar of Marriages, Tiruchirappalli. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was not even permitted by the police to see his daughter and have a word with her.

4. Under such circumstances, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with a direction to the second respondent police to arrange for a meeting of the petitioner with his daughter at the nearest Police Station, viz., All Women Police Station, Jeeyapuram, Trichy, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
