O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to dispose of the petitioner's application for issuance of patta dated 23.12.2024.

2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.On going through the representation given by the petitioner, I find that the petitioner has addressed the representation to the District Collector and a copy has also not been marked to the Tahsildar, who is the competent authority to look into the petitioner's request for issuance of patta. Therefore, Mandamus as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted.

4.However, the Writ Petition is disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to make online application to the Tahsildar, within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such application, the second respondent shall consider the same on merits and dispose of the said application within a period of twelve [12] weeks, thereafter.
