ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] The petitioner is the father of the detenu. The detenu is aged about 22 years. In the affidavit, it has been stated that on 16.11.2017 at 9.30 a.m., the petitioner's daughter viz., detenu had gone to attend Computer Class at Trichy by bus. not return home. Therefore, the petitioner along with his relatives searched for the detenu. The petitioner came to know that the respondents 4 to 7 illegally abducted the detenu. Therefore, he lodged a complaint. As there was no response to the same, he has come up with this petition.
2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the detenu was produced before this Court by the second respondent. The petitioner and the 4th respondent were also present. On enquiry, the detenu told that she is a major and she has not been abducted by anybody. She has further told that she, on her own volition, left the house and married the 4th respondent in a temple. The detenu has further told that she has already handed over her jewels to her father viz., the petitioner in the Police Station. The said statement is recorded.
3. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with liberty to the detenu to choose her own way of life. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(Records) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To
