Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue community certificate to the petitioners son minor E.Kowsikan in the caste name of DEVENDRAKULA VELLALAR as per the application dated 12.07.2015 by virtue of notification issued by the 2nd respondent in G.O.Ms.No.22 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (CV-1) dated 17.2.2011 published in Part II - Sec.1 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette on 17.2.2011 grouping the sub-castes viz.Kudumban Pannadi, Kalladi, Kadaiyan, Devendrakulathan, Pallan and Vathiriyan under the common name of Devendrakulavellalar making amendment to G.O.Ms.No.17, Adi Dravidar & Tribal Welfare (CV1) Department dated 02.02.2011 within a time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition seeking for a direction to the second respondent to issue community certificate to his son minor E.Kowsikan as Devendrakula Vellalar based on the notification issued by the first respondent in G.O.Ms.No.22, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, dated 17.02.2011. 2.The issue in relation to grouping of sub castes of Kudumban, Pannadi, Kalladi, Kadaiyan, Devendrakulthan, Pallan and Vathiriyan under the common name of Devendra Kula Vellalar is pending consideration before the one man Committee headed by Justice M.S.Janarthanam, former Judge of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
this Court. Unless the said issue is decided by the Committee, no relief as sought for by the petitioner can be granted. 3.The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
