O R D E R

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner suffered an eviction order on 02.02.2026. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act before the District Collector, Dindigul on 23.02.2026. All that the petitioner wants is the eviction order should not be enforced during the pendency of the appeal. If the eviction order is enforced in the meanwhile, the appeal itself will become infructuous.

3. We direct the appellate authority / first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the appeal is disposed of, the eviction order shall not be enforced. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition 2/4
