Respondents in all Writ Petitions COMMON PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and third respondents i.e. the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai and the District Collector, Madurai to send revised pension proposals to the Accountant General, Chennai, calculating half of the services put in by the petitioner as Karnam Headman respectively within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The writ petitioners herein retired as Village Administrative Officers. Their grievance is that service put in by them prior to their absorption in the regular time scale of pay as Village Administrative Officer was not taken into account, while finalising their pension proposals. The writ petitioners want the respondent to send the revised pension proposal to the Accountant General, Chennai by taking into account the half of the service put in by them earlier prior to their absorption as Village Administrative Officer.

3. The issue on hand is no longer res integra. On 02.08.2017, this Court allowed W.P.(MD).Nos.7217 of 2015 etc., batch, by granting necessary directions to the authorities. Following the said order, the respondents herein are directed to send revised pension proposals to the Accountant General, Chennai by calculating half of the service put in by them earlier. Such proposals shall be sent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
