..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to refund the FL3AA Bar License Permission fee of Rs.2,06,000/- to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation to the first respondent dated 10.02.2026. ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.This writ petition is filed seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to refund FL3AA Bar license permission fee of 1/4

Rs. 2,06,000/- to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 10.02.2026. 3.Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, the case of the petitioner is that he applied for FL3AA Bar license on 10.07.2019 and since the period was pandemic affected, the license was never granted. However, the fee is not refunded. As a matter of fact, after considering the submission made by the petitioner, the second respondent had recommended the refund of the said amount by his communication dated 08.07.2021. The first respondent is yet to pass orders with reference to the same.

4.Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following term: The first respondent shall take up the representation of the petitioner dated 10.02.2026 and after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, appropriate orders in accordance with law, by taking a decision with reference to the refund of the petitioner's amount, be passed as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 8 weeks from the date of receipt on the web copy of this order.

No costs.
