PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2019.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner states that the lands mentioned in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition are her private patta lands and that Governmental Authorities are attempting to lay a channel across her private lands. Since such an attempt took place some six months back, the petitioner had to lodge an objection before the first respondent. The petitioner apprehends that without acquiring her land in the manner known to law, the respondents may lay a channel.

3.If the lands in question are actually the petitioner's patta lands, obviously, they cannot be tresspassed upon. The respondents will have to acquire the same in the manner known to law.

W.P.(MD).No.8487 of 2020 4.Be that as it may, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's petition mentioned representation and inform the petitioner about the stand of the administration. Based on the intimation to be provided by the first respondent, the petitioner can decide her next course of action. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
