Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the fifth respondent to complete the enquiry as per the direction of the second respondent vide his proceedings in O.Mu.No.E2/8114/2020, dated 24.05.2020 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2020 and to issue patta to the 1 hectare of land in S.No.212/2 at Thennur Village, 50 ares of land in S.N0.60/3 at Semmalapatti Village both are at Alavayal Taluk after collecting the amount to the above land as per guide line value. ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to issue patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the property in question, by considering his representation dated 05.05.2020.

2.Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is doing agricultural activities in S.No.212/2 at Thennur Village, 50 ares of land and in S.No.60/3 at Semmalapatti Village, Alavayal Taluk and he is in possession and enjoyment of the above lands for the past 10 years. Therefore, the petitioner made an application to the first respondent for issuance of patta after collecting the amount as per guide line. Since no order is passed by the first respondent, the petitioner has filed this petition.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader submits that the petitioner has made a representation on 05.05.2020. Therefore, without waiting for the further process of the application, the petitioner has approached this Court at the earlier stage. 5.Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, there will a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.05.2020, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While sending the copy of this order, the petitioner shall enclose the copy of the representation dated 05.05.2020 to the first respondent.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
