Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner in the post of Grade II Police Constable (Woman) or Grade III Jail Warden (Women) or Fireman to the petitioner in pursuance to the notification Grade II Police Constable (Men, Woman, Transgender), Grade II Jail Warden (Men and Women) and Fireman for the year of 2020 (Advertisement No. 1/2020) by considering the petitioner representation dated 13.03.2023. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste community. She took part in the petition mentioned recruitment process for the post of Grade-II Police Constable (Woman). The petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to appoint her in the said post.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General informed the Court that cut off mark was 57 for Sheduled Caste (SC) category and that the petitioner had scored 50 in the written test and 6 marks in the physical tests. Since the petitioner did not secure the cut off 2/4

mark, the petitioner was not selected. No exception can be taken to the petitioner's non-selection.

4.This writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
