O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the case in C.C.No.205 of 2015 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamuthiram, Tirunelveli District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the 1st respondent.

3. It is seen that on the complaint lodged by the 2nd respondent, the police registered a case in Crime No.85 of 2013 and after completing the investigation filed a final report in C.C.No.205 of 2015 before the Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamuthiram for offence under Sections 498(A) and 506(i) IPC. While so, the matter seems to have been referred to the Lok Adalat in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tirunelveli, where the parties have arrived at a compromise on 21.05.2014, under which, the de-facto complainant received Rs.4 lakhs as first installments and had even agreed to withdraw the case in Crime No.85 of 2013. The de-facto complainant has given a written letter to the respondent police stating that she has got divorce from the 1st petitioner and has also got remarried on 11.12.2015.

4. In view of the above, all the proceedings in C.C.No.205 of 2015 are quashed. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
