The petitioner/commitee member of Arulmighu Sri Mahalakshmi and Sri Mariyamman Thirukovil has filed this petition as against the order passed by the second respondent dated 23.03.2024 and the order passed by the third respondent in dated 25.03.2024, in and by which permission was denied to conduct the programs like Karagattam and Naiyandi Melam on 23.04.2024 at 7.00 p.m and on 24.04.2024 "Adal Padal Programme" at about 06.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m., in pursuance to the festival of "Arulmighu Sri Mahalakshmi and Sri Mariyamman Thirukovil".

2. The petitioner has approached the authorities seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal in the village temple festival and it was rejected, based on the objections raised by the respondent police.

3. In view of the Model Code of Conduct, the petitioner is directed to approach the third respondent with a new proposal after 04.06.2024. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
