PRAYER:Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter namely Mahes, D/o.Ganesan, aged 23 years, before this court and set her at liberty.

********** [Order of the MR.JUSTICE T.S.SIVAGNANAM] Pursuant to the direction issued by this Court, status report has been filed by the Additional Superintendent of Police, District, Crime Records Bureau, Kanyakumari District, dated 15.03.2017. Paragraph 12 of the report reads as follows:- "12. I humbly submit that, a letter vide in C.No.130/ADSP/DCRB/2016, dated 19.11.2016 has been sent to the Passport Officer, Regional Passport Office, Bharathi Ulla Veethi, Race Course Road, Madurai requesting to take necessary action for impounding and revocation of passport and travel document u/s. 10(3)(h) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the Passports Act, 1967 of the said Rajan and as such he may be repatriated to India. I also submit that, I am being taking all efforts to trace the missing person at the earliest."

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is fully satisfied with the manner in which the investigation has been done by the Additional Superintendent of Police and requested the Court to record the same and dispose of the petition.

3. Accordingly, the status report filed by the Additional Superintendent of Police, District Crime Records Bureau, Kanyakumari District, dated 15.03.2017 is placed on record and as undertaken in the report, appropriate action shall be taken to trace the missing person at the earliest.
