This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to take steps for internal auditing in Kadayanallur Municipality and also to take appropriate action against the Municipal Chairman and Members of the Municipality for misappropriation of funds and also to call for tenders under the supervision of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Finance Services Limited, based on the petitioner's representations dated 31.07.2015 and 04.08.2015.

2.It is common knowledge that the posts of President, Vice President, etc., are no more in existence and therefore, this Court is of the view that no further order is required in this petition, related to their day to day administration. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. But, it is made clear that it is always open to the respondents to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

initiate appropriate legal action against misappropriation of public funds. No costs.
