For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 01 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- This Court, while dismissing this application filed by the petitioner for anticipatory bail observed that there is no coordination between the local police as well as CBCID. This is a case of custodial death and the petitioner is a police officer. Considering the nature of offence and the manner of investigation, this Court, by order dated 07.07.2021, directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police, CBCID to co-ordinate with the Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram to monitor the investigation in this case and complete the investigation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

2.Today, when the matter came up for hearing, Mr.R.Anand, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has returned his vakalat.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the investigation is almost over and the Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram is co-ordinating with the CBCID to conclude the investigation.

4.The said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) is recorded and no further order is required to be passed in this petition.
