PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the contemnors for wilfully and wantonly disobeyed the order passed in W.P(MD)No.15992 of 2014, dated 20.06.2019 and punish them in accordance with law. ORDER

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondents for disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.15992 of 2014, dated 20.06.2019.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the Joint Director of Kallar Reclamation Department, Madurai issued a proceedings in Na.Ka.No.H.7/22701/2021, dated 16.06.2022, with regard to revision of pension and family pension and for other consequential benefits. Thus, the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.15992 of 2014, dated 20.06.2019 has been complied with.

3. In view of the compliance of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.15992 of 2014, dated 20.06.2019, nothing survives 2/4

for adjudication in the Contempt Petition. Therefore, this Contempt Petition is closed. The respondents are directed to pay arrears to the petitioner, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
