O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.17768 of 2025 dated 02.07.2025, whereby this Court directed the respondents to settle the eligible terminal benefits to the petitioner along with 6% p.a. interest from the date of due till the date of disbursement.

2. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner accepted that the entire order has been complied with, the only dispute is that the pension arrears are not paid in full. According to him, the petitioner is paid only an amount of Rs.26,460/- towards the pension arrears as against his 2/5

entitlement of Rs.64,000/-. Thus, he contends that an amount of Rs. 37,540/- with 6% p.a. interest is still due.

3. Heard both sides and perused the records.

4. This Court, having considered the same and taking note of the facts and circumstances of the case, is of the view that there is no specific direction issued by this Court to pay any particular amount and there is a direction only to pay eligible terminal benefits together with 6% p.a. interest.

5. When the respondents have paid certain amounts which are found to be entitled by the petitioner according to the respondents, this Court does not see any reason to continue the present contempt proceedings. If at all, the petitioner has any grievance or any dispute on the pension arrears payable to him, it is always open to the petitioner to take individual proceedings and agitate further.

6. In the circumstances, this Contempt Petition is closed with 3/5

liberty to the petitioner to agitate his claim for pension arrears, if any, still due and payable to the petitioner.
