ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents/Tahsildar, Survey Department, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District and the Head Surveyor, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District to take further action in the petitioner's application, dated 06.02.2023 to survey his lands in S.Nos. 36-2A2, 36-2B, 37-2, 37-3A in Patta no. 2056, at Ulagampatti Village, Singanmpunari Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2.The petitioner claims that the said properties originally belonged to his father Azhagu Aasari. He had executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner, registered as Doc.No.3762/2013. Based on the settlement, the petitioner had given an application to survey the land. 3.In view of the above facts, a direction is issued to the respondents/ Tahsildar, Survey Department, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District and the Head Surveyor, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District to issue notice to the petitioner, examine the documents, by which the petitioner claims title. Thereafter, if there is no other impediment, survey the land. If it 2/4

is deemed required, issue notice to the adjacent land owners. The said exercise should be completed within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
