[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent to produce the petitioner's son namely R.Kannan, son of Raman, aged about 21 years before this Court and set his liberty.
2. Heard Mr.K.R.Manimaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel for the State Government and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner would claim that the detenue is working as a Construction labour and from 18.04.2021 he is missing. He would further claim that every day he goes for work and returns home, but on 18.04.2021 he did not come back his house. Hence, he lodged a complaint with the second respondent and the same was registered in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD) No.717 of 2021 Cr.No.159 of 2021 as 'Man Missing', but no effective steps were taken to secure the detenue.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, on instructions, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel for the State Government, would submit that the third respondent has preferred a complaint with the second respondent for missing of his daughter and the same was registered in Cr.No.158 of 2021. The enquiry reveals that the third respondent's daughter was already married and she eloped with the petitioner's son. It is also stated that effective investigation is being carried by the second respondent.
5. In the light of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to speed up the investigation in Cr.Nos.158 and 159 of 2021 and secure the detenue at the earliest.
