ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permission to perform the program of Valli Thirumanam Drama on 26.03.2026 at about from 10 pm., and Periya Karuppu, Chinna Karuppu Drama on 27.03.2026 at about from 10 pm., and Customary Temple Festival Programs on 26.03.2026 and 27.03.2026 in Sri Shanmugavalli Ammal Temple at Thiruchuli Taluk, Border of Naduvapacheri on Nathakulam Road, Virudhunagar District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that since the elections are announced, the petitioner's representation may be directed to be considered by the Returning Officer.

3. In view of the submissions made, this Court suo motu impleads the Returning Officer, Virudhunagar District as the fourth respondent in this petition. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the fourth respondent forthwith. On receipt of the same, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two days from today.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 23.03.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No sm Note: Issue order copy on 24.03.2026.
