Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application for grant of patta for their property in Survey No.8/6A measuring 0.20.0 Ares, Kaliyanthur Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the representation dated 11.04.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.

*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 11.04.2022 seeking for issuance of patta in her favour for the property comprised in Survey No.8/6A measuring 0.20.0 Ares, Kaliyanthur Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, her late husband purchased the aforementioned property through Court auction and thereafter she is in possession and enjoyment of the same. She has applied for patta on 11.04.2022. Since the said application has not been considered till date, she has filed this writ petition.

3.Heard Mr.M.Kannan, learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's application seeking for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording as fair hearing to the petitioner and any other rival claimants, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

W.P.[MD]No.8666 of 2022 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to consider the the petitioner's application dated 11.04.2022 seeking for issuance of patta, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and any other necessary party whom the respondent deems fit to enquire including granting them the right of personal hearing.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
