Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the petitioner's retirement benefits and pension from 31.11.1997 on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2014, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.A.Jeyaram, learned standing counsel, takes notice for the 2nd respondent.
2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to disburse his retirement benefits and pension from 31.11.1997.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he retired on voluntary retirement basis, the pension and other retirement benefits were not given to him so far. It is seen that the petitioner has already made a representation on 17.05.2014 seeking for disbursement of such benefits. As it is stated that the said representation is still pending, this Court, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the said representation and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
