O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in respect of the petitioner's property to an extent of 1 acre and 6 cents out of a total extent of 5.36 acres, purchased from N. Thiyagarajan in the year 1987, situated at Ambilikai Village, Ottanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District, under Sale Deed No.240 of 1987 registered before the Joint Sub Registrar No.I, Palani, bearing Joint Patta No.3075 and present Survey No.82, subdivided as 2A1A1A1, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.02.2024 to the respondents seeking issuance of patta in respect of the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4, submits that the petitioner's representation would 2/5

be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent/Tahsildar to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The fourth respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any rival claims, the same shall be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs. There shall be no order as to costs.
