Ganesh : Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first respondent herein to secure the detenu, namely, Muthumari, aged about 21 years, and the new born baby, who are wife and child of the petitioner, from the illegal custody of the respondents 2 to 4 herein and produce the person or body of the detenu and child before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions from the first respondent police, submits that the wife of the
petitioner, the detenu herein, has delivered a baby recently and she is now residing along with her mother at Tirunelveli. Further, it is reported that there is a family dispute between the petitioner and his wife. Thus, we find that there is no illegal detention of the detenu. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioner either to go and meet his wife at her mother's house or to approach the appropriate forum seeking appropriate relief.
