Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas directing the fourth respondent to produce the person or body of the detenue, the Petitioner's wife Selvadharani, wife of M.Velmurugan, aged about 22 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by B.PUGALENDHI, J.] The Petitioner who claim to be the husband of the detenu one Selvadharani, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition,as if the detenu is under the illegal custody of the fifth respondent/Uma Maheswari.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.The fifth respondent appears through her counsel Mr.S.Ramakrishnan and the detenu is also produced by the learned Standing Counsel for the State Government. The detenu, who appeared before this Court through video-conferencing, would state that the Petitioner is only the friend and under misconception, he has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition only to harass her. 4.On perusing the affidavit and the materials filed in support of the Petition, it is found that the Petitioner though claimed to have performed the marriage, not even make a mention about the date of marriage and no documents whatsoever has been filed in support of the marriage. The detenu, who appeared through video-conferencing, has specifically mention that there is no marriage solemnized between her and the Petitioner. She would further state that she is now living with her mother and that she is willing to go along with her mother.
5.By recording the above statement made by the detenu, this Habeas Corpus petition is closed.
