PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.288 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A3, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 & 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.288 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 29.03.2023, at about 15.30 hours, the respondent police received secret information and conducted vehicle checkup at Race Course, Youth Hostel and intercepted two wheeler bearing Reg.No.TN 59 CQ 6734 and the accused persons were found in illegal possession of ganja. Based on their confession statements, the respondent police conducted search in the petitioner's house and found some pockets of ganja. Total contraband weighing about 1.250 kgs. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a college going student and he is no way connected with the alleged case of the prosecution. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD)No.6336 of 2023 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the entire contraband was seized from the petitioner's house and the petitioner is the master brain behind this crime. He also produced the phone call details. Hence, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner in this case is very much necessary.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
