ORDER

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of police enquiry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is one of the victims in the online fraud. While so, the third respondent lodged a complaint against the petitioner and based on that complaint, already the previous Inspector of Police/second respondent conducted the enquiry and closed the same. Again now, the third respondent lodged a complaint before the present Inspector of Police/second respondent and thereby, the second respondent called the petitioner for enquiry. Already, the petitioner appeared for enquiry before the previous officer. In spite of the same, frequently, they called the petitioner for enquiry. Therefore, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that based on the complaint given by the third respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry and the enquiry is still pending. Further, they have not harassed the petitioner as alleged by him. 2/5

However, they will complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days.

4. Considering the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without issuing notice to the third respondent, is inclined to pass orders.

5. According to the petitioner, the second respondent harassed the petitioner by frequently calling the petitioner for enquiry. According to the second respondent, based on the complaint given by the third respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry and they will complete the same within 15 days.

6. In view of the same, recording the abovesaid submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court directs the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days from the date of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
