Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue Hindu Malaivedan (ST) community certificate to the petitioner's children namely Barath and Vinoth, on the basis of the community certificate dated 23.02.1989 issued to the petitioner and based on the enquiry dated 26.02.2014 conducted by the respondent pursuant to the enquiry notice dated 20.02.2014.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by S.MANIKUMAR, J.) On the representation, dated 20.12.2013, addressed to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai, for issuance of Community Certificate, as Hindu Malaivedan (ST) Community, an enquiry has been conducted by the respondent on 26.02.2014, but no final orders have been passed. Hence, the Writ Petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue Hindu Malaivedan (ST) Community Certificate.

2. Material and record discloses that on 15.12.2014, the Hon'ble Division Bench, has ordered Notice of Motion returnable by four weeks. No reply is forthcoming.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for, without going into the merits of the case, we only direct the Revenue Divisional Officer,

Madurai, respondent herein, to pass orders on the basis of an enquiry said to have been conducted on 26.02.2014, within a period of four weeks from today, on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
