ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 19.06.2019 within the stipulated period.

2.Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3.By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4.According to the petitioner, the property comprised in Survey No.1/2, Block Nos.2 to 6 at Anthaneri, Tallakulam Village, K.Pudur, Madurai belongs to him. With regard to the said survey number, the Tahsildar, Madurai North Taluk contested enquiry for one A.Muthuramalingam and issued patta to him by proceedings dated 31.05.2019. Seeking patta, the petitioner submitted his application to the respondent on 19.06.2019 and the respondent also directed him to appear for enquiry on 25.10.2019. Thereafter, the petitioner received the enquiry notice from the respondent to appear for enquiry on 01.06.2020. So far no order has been passed by the respondent, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's appeal will be considered https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.8548 of 2020 by the respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

6.In view of the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 19.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
