Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to direct the respondents to settle the retirement benefits i.e., gratuity, arrears of salary and all other accrued benefits to the petitioner along with 12% interest from the date of retirement on 31.05.2012.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to settle the retirement benefits i.e., gratuity, arrears of salary etc., to the petitioner, along with 12% interest from the date of retirement on 31.05.2012.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the third respondent sent a communication to the petitioner stating that the service benefits would be released at the earliest, till date, the same has not been settled.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submitted that the claim of the petitioner would be considered on merits.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also having regard to the proceeding of the 3rd respondent dated 21.09.2015, this Court, directs the respondents to settle the retirement benefits of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
