Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records from the first respondent in M.H.S.Confdl.No.32/2017 dated 04.03.2017 by setting aside the said order of detention passed by the first respondent and setting the detenue Murugan, aged about 48, S/o. Sivalinga Nadar, at liberty now detained in the Central Prison, Palayamkottai.

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention, dated 04.03.2017 in M.H.S.Confdl.No.32/2017, detaining her husband as "Sand Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(gg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.1787 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 17.04.2017, and he has also produced https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, the petition is dismissed.
