ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and her family members from the respondents 3 to 5. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the respondents 3 to 5 used to switch off the street lights and steal the goods from the houses.

On 30.03.2021, they switched off the electricity transformer and when the petitioner questioned about the same, they attacked, outraged her modesty and made criminal intimidation and also attacked her husband. Thereafter, the respondents 3 to 5 have been repeatedly threatening the petitioner and her family members. In this regard, she has given representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 05.04.2021. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid prayer. 3.The representation given by the petitioner is produced in the form of typed-set. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7440 of 2021 threat made by the respondents 3 to 5 to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first and second respondents submitted that the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5 are close relatives and they belonged to the same community. He further submitted that the dispute between the parties was settled in a compromise.

5.Taking note of the representation/complaint given by the petitioner against the respondents 3 to 5, the second respondent is directed to take appropriate steps in accordance with law, either to register FIR, if cognizable offence is made out, as set out in the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and others [2014 (2) SCC (1)], otherwise, give a quietus to the petition by conducting an enquiry and supply a copy of the enquiry report to the petitioner. 6.With the above observations, this criminal original petition is closed.
