*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Poppayee, D/o.Kaari, aged 23 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

3. Today, the second respondent police produced the detenu -

Poppayee, before this Court. We have questioned her. The detenu has stated that she was given in marriage and it appears that her husband committed suicide, two months ago and she was under the care and custody of her father-in-law. We have also questioned the petitioner, who wish to take the detenu along with him, as she is a widow. The detenu has also stated that she would like to along with her father. Accordingly, while recording the statement made by the detenu, we dispose of the Habeas Corpus Petition.
