PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to direct the Respondents to temporarily release the Detenue namely Sabarikanthan S/o.Sugumar aged about 33 years detained as "Goonda" at Central Prison, Madurai vide Detention Order No.59/BCDFGISSV/2024 dated 20.09.2024 to the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai as inpatient and provide proper medical treatment till he gets recovered. ORDER

The petition has been filed by the Detenue to admit him as inpatient in the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai for treatment of his broken leg.

2. According to the report of the Assistant Civil Surgeon Central Prison, Madurai, the Detenue was already admitted to Madurai Medical College Hospital as an inpatient on 02.07.2024, where he underwent surgery and Intramedullary Tibial Nailing on 17.07.2024, and was discharged on 01.08.2024. The doctor's report confirms that the Detenue is now stable and performing routine activities inside the prison and necessary medical care is provided to him as and when required, either as an outpatient or inpatient.

3. In light of the above facts, this Court finds no reasons to entertain the 2/3
