Respondent PRAYER : Criminal Revision Petition is filed under Section 397 r/w 401 of Cr.P.C., to call for the entire records pertaining to the judgment passed by the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Thanjavur District in C.A.No.268 of 2023, dated 21.03.2024, confirming the conviction and sentence imposed by the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court at Magisterial Level, Thanjavur District in S.T.C.No.143 of 2022, dated 20.10.2023 and set aside the same and consequently acquit the petitioner.

ORDER

This Criminal Revision Case has been filed seeking orders to set aside the judgment in C.A.No.268 of 2023, dated 21.03.2024 passed by the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Thanjavur District, confirming the conviction and sentence imposed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court at Magisterial Level, Thanjavur District in S.T.C.No.143 of 2022, dated 20.10.2023 and consequently acquit the petitioner from the aforesaid case.

2. It is seen from the records that this revision was taken at National Lok Adalat and the parties have entered into a compromise and on that basis, a Lok Adalat award came to be passed on 14.12.2024.

3. In view of the settlement between the parties and consequent passing of the award, the judgment of conviction passed by the Courts below are hereby set aside and the accused is acquitted from the charges. 2/4

4. In the result, this Criminal Revision Case is allowed. The Lok Adalat award shall form part of this order. 28.01.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No VSD To 1.The II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Thanjavur District.
